Normandy linen duvet cover, natural
Contact us →
Woven from long-staple flax in a small mill outside Caen. The cloth is stonewashed once after weaving, which softens the handle without breaking down the fibre. It gets better with every wash. The weave tightens slightly and the colour deepens to a warm oat. Available in single and queen.

Okanagan stoneware bowl, ash glaze

Thrown on the wheel by a ceramicist based outside Kelowna, BC. The ash glaze is mixed in small batches using local wood ash from a neighbouring orchard, which gives each piece a slightly different surface. Some lean grey-green, some more amber. Food-safe, dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe.

Beeswax taper candles, unscented

Rolled by hand in Ontario from pure beeswax sheet. Each pair burns for approximately nine hours. Unscented by design. Ruth finds most scented candles compete with food at the table. The wax is a warm amber-yellow that deepens as the candle burns down.
Merino wool travel wrap, slate

A generous 90 x 200 cm panel in a 2x2 twill from a small New Zealand mill. The weight is 280 gsm. Substantial enough for a plane or a cool evening on the patio, light enough to fold into a carry-on. The slate colourway was chosen specifically because it doesn't show lint.
$195
Linen hand towels, set of two
Contact us →
Cut and hemmed from the same Normandy cloth as the duvet covers, so the weight and handle are consistent across the bedroom and bathroom. Each towel is 50 x 90 cm with a simple drawn-thread border. They absorb well from the first wash, unlike terry cloth, which needs several cycles to open up.
$72 per set
Brass letter opener

Cast in solid brass by a small foundry in Quebec and finished by hand with a fine-grit buff. The blade is blunt. It parts paper cleanly without tearing. The handle develops a patina over time that most people find more appealing than the original polish. Weight: 85 g.

Waffle-weave cotton bath sheet

Woven in Portugal in a traditional waffle structure that increases surface area without adding bulk. The cotton is combed, not carded, so the yarn is smooth and the pile doesn't pill. At 100 x 150 cm it's larger than a standard bath towel but folds flat. Available in undyed white and a warm sand.
